Our Photograph and Archive Collections are housed at
Our photographic collection contains thousands of historic and recent photos of families and events. All of our photos are at the Spencer Research Library, University of Kansas, Lawrence, under the title of Nicodemus Historical Society Collection. We are currently working to provide a page with a select number of photos that can be easily accessed through this website. Please check back later to see the new page.
Private Collections Archive
Our private collections archive includes written documents of a wide range of items, from legal documents to simple receipts. These documents are organized within individual privately named collections. These items are also housed and accessed through the Spencer Research Library.
Our Objects Collection is housed at our small museum and include such items from sports memorabilia to daily life utensils and tools.
Collections Held at the Museum
There are a limited number of collections and items that are housed at our museum that will not be donated to the Spencer Research Library, such as our working resource collection, genealogy files, and books. These collections are accessible to the public while visiting the museum. We encourage those who wish to use these collections to contact us for an appointment.
Donations can be made to any of our collections. If you have a photograph, written document, or object that you wish to donate, please contact us.
